Tap Into Craft Brewing Expertise
Because Beer knows that true craft beer aficionados want to learn more about the brewing process. That’s why the festival offers sessions with knowledgable, informative and entertaining speakers. Make new connections and deepen your appreciation of the art and science craft in these intimate, interactive sessions.
Because Beer hosts two panel discussions with the Society of Beer Drinking Ladies, an inclusive, entertaining and wildly successful organization celebrating the art and appreciation of independent craft beer. Tiffany Hayes (co-founder of The Travelling Pint and Hamilton's Iron Beer Maidens) will moderate a conversation with women entrepreneurs Erica Campbell and Jaime Dobbs, two of the co-founders of SOBDL. Erica and Jaime will share their story of the SOBDL, from its inception in late 2014 to where it is now four-and-a-half years later as North America's largest "lady beer" event. They'll chat about their successes, stumbling blocks, tips for starting your own small businesses, the challenge of juggling full-time jobs alongside a growing side hustle, next steps for the SOBDL, and offer tips for getting into the beer industry. This discussion will open up to a FAQ is all are welcome! Saturday, July 14 at 4:15pm / Sunday, July 15 at 2:15pm.
Outside of these sessions, SOBDL will also be sampling and talking up a pair of their collaboration brews: Tropic Like It's Hot PineApple Sour from People's Pint Brewing and Picnic Point Hazy Pale Ale from Henderson Brewing.
Because Beer will also host panel talks with some of the bright lights of the city's craft brewing renaissance in Local Brewing Talks. Tap into the expertise and excitement that's brewing locally and celebrate the spirit of working together to build an industry. Friday, July 13 at 4:15pm & 5:00pm / Saturday, July 14 at 5:30pm.
